The high rounded Natural Colour Jade stands proud of the setting and the stone also has a slightly cabochon reverse.  English circa 1930

The Gold mount is plain and unmarked and tests as 14ct Gold.  My opinion is that the Ring was made in Hong Kong circa 1950’s

The slender shank stamped PLATm and numbered 2128.  English circa 1928

"...When I tell you that a Jade has an Orange Peel surface, it means that the stone has been polished with Corundum dust, that is to say powdered Sapphire or Ruby. You can easily see this Orange Peel surface using a hand lens. This usually means that it is an old Jade because since the 1960’s Jade has been polished with Diamond dust, giving it a greater luster and a smooth glass like finish. However, in the Far East all the old Jade is being re-polished so eventually we will not be able to tell the difference between old and new..."
